ABOUT
Hello!

I'm Rose and this is my website. I originally decided to create this website as a space to upload my A-Level revision posters I made when revising for my A-Levels. After beginning to create the website I began to consider adding a blog to the website in order to share my ideas and thoughts on various different topics.

So here it is. This website contains my own writings as well as A-Level revision resources for those studying AQA sociology, psychology or philosophy & ethics. My intention is to write blog posts about a combination of topics. For example, at the moment I have plans to write posts about my experiences, academia, film and television and media influence.

The A-Level revision resources include posters, presentations or worksheets on AQA sociology, psychology and philosophy & Ethics. All the resources were created by myself who studied these subjects at A-Level from 2015-2017. The resources do NOT contain all the information in the text books as I have condensed the work. For example, the sociology posters do NOT contain all the sociologists in the text book as I found it too difficult to learn them all.

Before you start to explore, please read on to learn more about me. I am currently in my second year of university studying Philosophy and Media & Communications. My university experience has been a joyful one but has not been without it's challenges. As someone who does not drink alcohol university can be slightly intimidating and scary, something I would love to explore more within a blog post.

My hobbies include sports such as football and trampolining and watching films, TV shows and sports. I am a big lover of watching sports and attending large sporting events as evident within my first blog post about my experience as a volunteer at the 'Women's Hockey World Cup 2018'. In the past year I have attended international football, athletics, cycling, hockey and tennis events within the UK. At university I am involved in women's football and social rounders. Football is my main sport of choice as I started playing at the age of about five with the influence of my father who is also a massive football fan.

In relation to film and television I tend to enjoy comedies, dramas, musicals and action. A few of my favourite films include 'Notting Hill', 'Captain America', 'Pitch Perfect' and 'Mr Right'. I watch a variety of television including comedies, panel shows, sitcoms and dramas. Just a few of the TV shows I watch are: 'Would I lie to you?', 'Great British Bake Off', 'Friends', 'Gavin & Stacey' and 'Wynonna Earp'.

I am passionate about inclusivity in sports, equal rights and gender issues. I follow many activists online who are working to shed light on taboo or sensitive topics, individuals such as 'Hannah Witton', 'Ari Fitz', 'Alex Bertie', 'Todrick Hall' and many more. I am interested in gender politics including how boys and girls are brought up differently and socialised into gendered, sometimes sexist, ideas. Inclusivity within sports is an interest of mine due to my love of attending and watching para sports. After the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Paralympics I became a regular spectator of para sports and even attended the London 2017 para athletics world championships.

Thank you very much for looking around. I hope you find something thought provoking, learn something and please do challenge my work or comment with your thoughts on the topic. Also good luck with your revision and your exams if you use my revision resources to help.
